About Offbeat Hideaways
Offbeat Hideaways exists for one reason: the most extraordinary places to sleep are out there, but they're buried under thousands of identical listings. We do the digging so you don't have to.
We hunt down one-of-a-kind stays — mirrored treehouses, glass igloos under the aurora borealis, cliffside caves, off-grid cabins — vet them, and point you to where they're bookable at the best price.
How we curate
We want to be upfront about exactly what we do and don't do, because trust is the whole point:
- We hand-pick, we don't scrape. Every stay is chosen deliberately. We don't auto-generate rankings or list a place just because it exists.
- We cross-check real guest reviews. We read the actual reviews across booking platforms and summarise the honest picture — the praise and the catches.
- We attribute every rating. When you see a star rating, it's sourced from a public booking platform and labelled as such. We don't present other people's reviews as our own.
- We don't fake experience. If we haven't personally stayed somewhere, we won't pretend we have. When we do stay somewhere ourselves, we'll say so clearly.
If a place isn't genuinely special, it doesn't make the list.
How we make money
